Buddy DeDog – Day 1

Life growing up as a homeless in Chicago presents its own unique challenges. Buddy DeDog did not grow up with a silver spoon. Life was hard and the only breaks that Buddy DeDog got were ones he created.

Homeless in Chicago one might seek refuge in parks, alleyways, under bridges, or in abandoned buildings. However, competition for these spaces can be high, as there are often other homeless vying for the same resources. Finding a secure and comfortable spot to sleep would require constant vigilance and adaptation.

Living in a city environment means exposure to a wide array of sights, sounds, and stimuli. In Chicago, we would encounter busy streets, loud noises, and interactions with a variety of people. While this can be overwhelming and potentially stressful, it also presents opportunities for socialization and potential assistance from compassionate individuals. On the other hand, it also presents opportunities for the predators to come out and take advantage of those less fortunate or down on their luck.

This is the life Buddy DeDog grew up knowing. Not easy for anyone. There were many encounters with Predator’s, Bully’s, or just Bad People. But he did make a promise to himself not to allow any of the Predator’s, Bully’s, or just Bad People to take advantage of him or others. At least if he has a say in it.

Another thing… Buddy DeDog ALWAYS keeps a promise!!
